Thanksgiving....A week late

Okay, so Thanksgiving has come and gone......I'm not really great at keeping up with writing.....For Thanksgiving my daughter and I wanted to be home alone in our pajamas, no company, just junk TV and food.....I bought a 29.78 pound turkey and we never had a bite of it on Thanksgiving......We ate the side dishes and just didn't feel like turkey......Here he is in all his glory.....

Cigarettes.......

I miss smoking.......I miss cigarettes......I realized recently that the only way I liked talking on the telephone was to have a full pack of unfiltered Pall Malls and a few lighters nearby and I would sit there pretending to be listening to whomever was talking to me while I smoked and smoked away without a care in the world and I drew on everything in sight with a black Sharpie marker.....Now that I made that promise to my daughter and I quit my beloved cigarettes I'm back to absolutely hating talking on the telephone.....I find it like an act of torture to talk on phone, it's boring and a waste of time...Only once in a while do I like it...

I still haven't figured out 1000Markets.....No one has invited me to be in their market....Thank God I don't have feelings and I'm not hurt by it all.....Here are some pictures to look at of Wales....If I've posted them already pretend you haven't seen them.....I love Wales......I'm going back to dreaming of a pack of Pall Malls, no filters........

1000Markets.....

I added some drawings to my 1000Markets shop......My name on there is cathychhetri.....It's way too hot today to type anything else......I'm going back to the couch to lay in front of the fan and watch junk TV till the summer is finished.......Here are a few of the new drawings I listed......

Vacation......

I was on vacation for a few weeks......We went to South Carolina, then to Savannah, then to Florida.....I love Savannah.....South Carolina was food heaven......If I lived there all I would do is eat.....Draw and eat...I think I would eventually give up drawing and all art and just eat.......We were in Greenwood, SC and there were just too many eating places to choose from...So much pork and so little time....La Hacienda was as good as any Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten in and I used to live in Santa Fe...Go there if you are in Greenwood...I liked that everyone you see in South Carolina waves hello to you....When I realized that people would wave back to me I acted like a waving fool, just waving at everyone I saw like I was in a parade or something and totally embarrassing the family.....At Walt's you can get the absolute best chili dogs for 89 cents and gas for your car or pickup if the pumps aren't blocked by people getting hot dogs or sitting inside talking......The place is a trip.....Do not miss it......The picture of the stop sign I took in Savannah while we were riding around town on the trolley with Miss Denise as our guide......Miss Denise was the absolute best tour guide.......

No more Pall Malls......

I quit smoking in May......I hate not smoking.....I miss my Pall Malls with no filters......I dream of them.....I made a promise to my 11 year old daughter that I would quit smoking after I had some major dental work done and I kept my promise.....I am never making a promise to anyone again......I'm off now to sniff all my smoke infested, stinky coats in the shed.......I may never leave the shed again.......I may just go live in there, sniffing lovely tobacco scented coats and sweaters for the rest of my life......Now I have $3,400 of dental work and no more cigarettes....... I'm just wondering what the point of life was again????? No cigarettes.......Yuck........

I can't believe it's been so long since I have posted anything...Here are some of my latest drawings and things....I was going to list them on Etsy but I have 130 other drawings, etc listed on there already....I also have some drawings listed on 1000Markets.....People have barely looked at them....Good thing I don't take all this personally and have a great sense of humor.......

New Drawings.....

Here are some new drawings I have done.....It's finally looking like spring here in New Hampshire........I had forgotten that the snow actually does eventually melt......I really hate the snow and winter.....I think I stay here because it's safe and it's pretty when it isn't winter and probably the main reason is that there's a really good DeMoula's in Nashua that sells sliced pork belly.....Sliced pork belly reminds me of England and when we used to go grocery shopping at the Morrison's.... I would head off to the deli right away and check out the array of cooked and cooking pork products of the day,then buy everything that looked good and dream of it while we finished the shopping...I think people saw me sniffing the little silver bags, when I thought no one was looking, while I was shoving the cart around the store...They thought it was something all Americans did so I was safe from any negative comments........The car smelled of pork..It was like a really good car air freshener, instead of some pukey floral or spice scent our car smelled of freshly cooked pig........It made me mental having to wait to eat it till we got home...I tried my best to have some proper car manners and not start eating it on the way home.....As soon as we got home though I would rip open the bags of pork and start stuffing....It was the only time, I have to admit, I was thankful my husband had heart problems and I didn't have to share my pork......Sounds awful but it's true....I'll share anything except pork products and my rapidographs......

Well, eight, count them , 8 , people viewed my blog today and no one left a message....I wonder what they're afraid of ???? If I didn't find it funny I might consider it stalking.....I don't mind talking to myself and looking at my drawings and pictures so I'll post some pictures and sit here and look at them for a bit before I eat a bacon sandwich and have a cup of tea and draw some more.......The purple flower is a purple globe artichoke in Anne Hathaway's garden in England....The two pictures of the gypsy wagon are of Hazel's gypsy wagon.....She is a young gypsy woman I met when #3 and I were on our way to buy groceries at the Morrison's.....I started screaming when I saw the wagon on the side of the road because I thought it was so cool and wanted to stop and see it and take some pictures and my husband thought he had run over something in the road or I was having a seizure......When I told him what I was screaming about he said, Bloody hell, you frightened the life out of me......He wasn't excited at all ......

WALES......

I was thinking of Wales this morning and how I wish I was there....It's the most beautiful country in the entire world.......So, here are some pictures I took in Wales......The Harry Tuffins is a supermarket in Churchstoke.....I love it !!!! It has everything, a restaurant, a gas station a pound store ( like a dollar store here but since they don't have dollars it's a pound store) and a supermarket.....Also, there is a little animal park down a hill at the back of the store and a car wash and a toilet.....My husband used to go to the toilet then sit and wait in the car and complain to himself about me wanting to drive over three hours to Harry Tuffins and how hot or cold it was waiting in the car.....My daughter and I used to take our time checking out every single thing inside knowing how pissed off he was out in the car....We would just buy him a sandwich or some healthy junk, he loves all that healthy living , fat free crap and a juice drink knowing that would keep him quiet when we finally got back to the car.......Harry Tuffins is the absolute best.....I almost forgot one of the best things at Harry Tuffins....There's a tiny Welsh police station there also...I always wanted to open the door and see what was inside but I didn't......Next time I am there I will.......

Etsy Treasury

I was featured in another Etsy treasury today....I appreciate that someone put one of my drawings in their treasury..I also find it very funny because for some reason I always lose some hearts when I'm in a treasury and also I have been on the front page twice and have been in about 30 treasuries and I have sold only 5 things on Etsy....I have over 600 people who have hearted me.....So, in my warped mind I find it funny, especially when you read about people wanting so badly to be on the front page...It really doesn't help your sales.....Well, it doesn't help MY sales.....Here are some more new drawings.....I'm thinking about having a giveaway of a print of one of my drawings...Mrs Mastroni might have finally convinced me....BUT, seeing as no one else has left any comments here I would have to give myself or Mrs Mastroni the print......I already have enough of my art so I'm out of the contest.....That leaves Jerry or Sandy.........I just realized I posted one of these drawings yesterday.....Oh well, I have no idea how to get it off of here and no one is reading my blog anyway so I'll just leave it here.......

February is almost gone......

I haven't posted anything for a while because no one is reading or commenting on my posts or about my art and it's weird, even for me, to be writing to myself....People have been looking but not commenting.....I think that's similar to someone looking in your windows and not knocking on the door....Oh, well......Maybe, it might also be because you find my blog from Sandy's links and you expect cats and really fabulous drawings and paintings of happy and nice things and giveaways and then you find that my art is completely different from hers...I'm going with that theory....
